This booklet is centered around the word “independence,” which has been a central theme in my life. I created the book by taking a series of self-portraits, which I manipulated to represent each role/or phase of my life that relates to independence. In addition to the self-portraits, I included fragments from my journal (which I have kept for the past four years), that relate to each role/phase.

While creating this piece, I implemented the design process, beginning with research, and ultimately reaching my final iteration. I applied my skills in color, typography, and photography to create a successful visual composition and effective communication of the message.
