Role: Lead designer collaborating with feedback from the Design Director
I designed the 2023–2025 issues of re:D Magazine (regarding design), an annual publication from Parsons School of Design that showcases student, alumni, and faculty work while exploring current topics in design and creativity. An average of 7,000 copies were printed annually and distributed across campus, at university events, and by mail to alumni, partners, and The New School donors.
Designing New Ways Forward, 2025
For this issue’s design, I developed a building-block motif to represent the many perspectives and tools needed to create positive change. The modular system connects themes throughout the publication, including systems thinking, neighborhood structures, and data visualization. Fine lines, 3D text boxes, and interface-inspired elements reference digital tools while suggesting the support structures behind design-led solutions. A palette of green and copper evokes nature and regenerative materials. For the cover, I adapted artwork by Parsons alumna Kat Jostad to align with the issue’s visual system.

Designing Beyond Borders, 2024
Design of the 2024 issue and cover for re:D Magazine (regarding design), an annual publication from Parsons School of Design, which showcases student, alumni, and faculty work while exploring current topics in design and creativity.
Designing Beyond Borders is the theme of this issue, explored through a cover design that serves as a visual motif throughout the magazine. The gradation between complementary colors, orange and blue, along with typography and imagery that move on and off the page, reinforces the concept.

Designing our Urban Futures, 2023
For this issue, focused on innovative, co-designed approaches to urban resilience, the re:D team invited community members to imagine an equitable urban future by submitting words through QR code posters placed across campus during the Parsons Festival. These responses were used exclusively as prompts to generate imagery for the cover design through Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, and DALL·E, producing results that ranged from fantastical to photorealistic, with lush, future-facing cities emerging as a recurring visual theme. After reviewing hundreds of AI-generated images, I organized and curated them by subject, including architecture, nature, and people, to create the final cover composition. The project explored an inverted creative process, using human judgment and design sensibility to shape the outputs of generative tools.
